Supporting Youth Mental Health in Hong Kong - Join Me in WeezWalk 2026!
Hi Friends and Colleagues,
I'm excited to share that I'll be participating in WeezWalk 2026, a challenging 62-kilometer coastal walk around Hong Kong Island!
This event is more than just a physical feat; it's an opportunity to raise awareness and crucial funds to support young people's mental health in Hong Kong. The statistics are concerning: according to a recent survey by the Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service (2024-2025), over 20% of secondary students in Hong Kong report experiencing moderate to severe levels of depression, anxiety, and stress.
As a parent of a teenager, now in 11th grade, I'm acutely aware of the pressures and challenges young people face, especially in today's digital world. The constant connectivity, social media pressures, and the sheer volume of information can be incredibly overwhelming. It's a different environment than many of us grew up in, and it's vital that we support our youth with the resources they need to thrive.
That's why I'm walking for WeezWalk. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help provide vital mental health services and support for these young people.
