The Weez Project was established in memory of Jamie Bruno. whose tag ‘Weez’, inspired the iconic logo that represents Weez’s logo.

The Weez Project’s mission is to provide help and support for young people in Hong Kong who are facing mental health challenges, especially those contemplating self-harm or suicide. It aims to empower young people to learn how to help themselves and their peers, educate teachers and parents about mental health issues, and advocate for improvements in youth mental health.

Mind HK is a mental health charity (S88 registered – 91/16471), with a vision to ensure that no one in Hong Kong has to face a mental health problem alone. Its work includes improving awareness of mental health and mental health conditions, removing the associated stigma, and providing talking therapy, with the aim of achieving the best mental health for all in Hong Kong. Together with the existing collaboration and research efforts, it exists to support Hong Kong in becoming a global leader and regional model for public mental health.

Move It for Mental Health is a Mind HK project that looks to promote mental wellbeing through physical activity and get people moving! With public events, as well as school, university and corporate collaborations, we aim to inspire participants of all ages and abilities to stay active, connect with others, and make a positive impact on both our mind and body

Origins of Weez Walk

Weez Walk was established by Tony Bruno in 2021 as a casual event to raise funds and awareness of youth mental health issues in Hong Kong. That year, Tony completed the walk in 12 hours and 58 minutes - a hard-to-beat personal best - but more importantly, due to the success and noise generated by his feat of Weez Walk in 2021, the idea of hosting a yearly event open to all was born.

Since 2022, the Weez Walks have engaged over 5,000 runners, walkers and the occasional baby strollers, joining this meaningful journey to raise funds and awareness for youth mental health and suicide prevention.
